What comes to your mind when you think of winter wear? Boring designs and basic colors, isn’t it? Well, this happens with kids' winter wears also. No matter how cute and pretty sweaters we want, we’ll find the same basic ones. I remember my grandma used to do really cute embroidery on my sweaters . It looked so pretty and even today whenever I look back at the photos I feel so happy that my winters were so bright and colorful. Not to forget, embroidery is a famous craftsmanship worldwide. Sewing has been a livelihood of many people forever.
Embroidery is the process of decorating cloths by sewing different type of designs in them. All you need is a needle, some threads or yarns and an embroidery hoop to oomph up your boring piece of clothing. Nowadays, to make things easier we have different sewing machines. It saves time and the embroideries are a lot better quality.
Here are some cute embroidery design ideas to oomph up your little champ's winter wears.
· Snow-flakes/Snowman: What better to represent winter than having snow-flakes on your sweater or even an adorable snowman. You can also make a snowman surrounded with snow-flakes. This will really scream winter and will look too pretty.
· One word embroidery: If you want to keep your kid’s winter apparel simple yet not boring then you should definitely go for the one word embroidery. You can write something like *winter* or *cold* in a really nice design. There are lot of options available on the internet. Just choose your pick.
· A cup of Hot Cocoa and Marshmallows: Well, I personally love this one. I’d love to own a sweater or cardigan with a cup of hot cocoa embroidered on it and Marshmallows surrounding the cup. How cool it’d be if there’s also a smiley face drawn on the cup.
· Small animals: Another simple yet cool design would be sewing an animal like a small bird, polar bear, rabbit, etc. This would look really cute and innocent.
· Scenic beauty: How about some small, beautiful sceneries on their clothes. Well, I’d love that for my kid when I have them. Couple of mountains or a house in middle of greenery would make some awesome designs.
· Drawings: This would make for a great moment to appreciate your child’s work. Ask them to draw whatever you like on the apparel with a pencil and then you sew it following the lines of the pencils. The clothes will not only look good but it’ll have so much emotions. It’d be fun, innocent and pretty at the same time.
These are few ideas about embroidery on kids winter wears. If you are an amateur like me and don’t know how to sew there are many online sites that will teach you to sew like a pro.
