Stop Adulting- Start Playing! with The Body Shop Ireland

What a title eh? Well what an event I was at for the launch of The Body Shop 'Play For Peace' Christmas collection in their Grafton Street Store on Wednesday the 4th of October. It was amazing!! The Christmas events from The Body Shop are always unreal, I get so excited when the invite comes, it always gives me such Christmas feels and I am always dying to see what new treats they will bring out this year. The theme of bringing adults back to their childhood and also looking after refugee children is such a good campaign.

More importantly than any of the gifts available is the campaign behind the products for 2017. This year, TBS are taking on to the 'Play For Peace' campaign. They want to 'Give a Year of Play to Refugee Children' (taken from the above picture), "Together with International Alert, we're helping refugee children to be children again. Every gift you buy from our seasonal collection will help support the 'Peace for Play' Project in Lebanon for One year, which provides a safe space for children to play and heal. To me, the presentation from Donna was amazing, it showed us videos of children who have been helped by this wonderful project. It also showed us that the boxes on some of the Christmas collection gifts can be used as games. There were giant pictures on the wall you got to colour in, kids games around the room and lots of really sweet vegan cupcakes. THB prides itself on being against cruelty to animals and having vegan friendly products so it fit in perfectly.

I will be purchasing gifts myself for friends and family from TBS as I do every year, I think it's one brand you can treat someone to something really special at this time of year. I love the scent of the products. I was delighted when there was a personalising service last night, so I got my favourite Frosted Berries body butter tub with my name on it. Such a quirky treat that TBS bring out at Christmas time to make a gift that bit more special.
