Hello my lovelies! I am back today with a product review which has been majorly raved in all beauty spheres as of late. Oh yes, I am talking about the Incolor Matte me liquid lipstick range. And given its fame, the range has been exploited and black marketed on some instagram stores like crazy. A product which once retailed at 180 (latest lowest rate 250 INR), has also been sold at 600 a piece at some stupid Instagram makeup selling store. So beware sweeties, do not fall for such crunches.
Everything's pretty good about the range except that it has almost no nude colours, neutral yes, they have, but no nudey-nudes if you know what I mean! The price range is good, the product quality is great and the shade range is wide with lots of different undertones of pinks, reds, purples and oranges, but no nudes! How sad can the situation be. Existential crisis for a nude lover. SIGH!
So despite of the fact that we didn't have any nudes to chose from, we did pick up a neutral and a fiery red toned pink which looks bomb on almost everyone. SO the shades i am to review here are 415 and 403.
Price and Packaging
The Incolor liquid lipsticks retail at 250 bucks a piece and honestly, i would have paid even 300-350 for such good quality products. The lippies come packaged in square and sturdy test tube like like things with a square twist up, matte black lid. Honestly, the screw top lid makes the packaging tight and square giving you no spillage nightmares when you're travelling. The wand is long and has a firm doe foot like applicator which applies really well. The applicator is tapering thin at the top making it easy to line your lips with the liquid lipstick and then fill it in with the flat side.
Shades
415 : The shade 415 is perhaps the only neutral pink shade with mauvish-brown undertones to it. The shade looks no where near a nude-ey pink or brown, it is like a full blown neutral pink lipstick which flatters Indian skin tones nonetheless. he shade is undeniably warm and looks great for the day to day kohl rimmed and neutral lip kind of look.
403 : The most peppy yet not in your face kind of red toned pink i have ever witnessed. It is bold, but not bright, stunning but at the same time very classy. And as i said the bold deep pink colour has very strong warm red undertones which renders the colour looking very similar to what relentlessly red from MAC looks like on me.
Pigmentation and coverage
The liquid lipstick has undoubtedly packed with colour pigments and even the lighter shade 415 gives opaque coverage in just one thick coat. But still, i would suggest you wear two thin coats instead of one thick one. It applies smoothly, and even the lighter shade does not go on patchy or crumbly.
Staying power
If you eat oily food, then and only then will it start wearing off from the inner corners. Shade 415 wears off more easily in comparison to shade 403. But they both stay put for more than 4-5 hours with a little sipping and munching. Which is great for the 250 bucks you paid.
Will I recommend?
Hell, yes! I am getting a few more for myself as well. :)
