Have you tried Starbucks' newest limited edition drinks? They have 2 right now -- the Iced Chestnut White Chocolate Truffle and Iced Strawberry Red Velvet Mocha!
These two drinks will be available at all Starbucks stores nationwide until Feb. 22, 2016. Which one would you like to try?
- Chestnut White Chocolate Truffle (P135 Short / Tall P145 / Grande P160 / Venti P170) - This is espresso with steamed milk combined with white chocolate sauce topped with whipped cream and chestnut drizzle. You can also order this as a Frappuccino blended beverage, just add P20 to the SRP indicated.
- Strawberry Red Velvet Mocha (P135 Short / Tall P145 / Grande P160 / Venti P170) - This one is espresso combined with rich red velvet sauce, mocha, and steamed milk. It's topped with a really unique cheesecake whipped cream and sprinkled with strawberry bits.
I'm happy to announce that two of my favorite Starbucks food items have made it to Starbucks roster of Core Food Items (that means they'll be available permanently!). First is the
Spinach Lasagna (P165). Make sure you tell them to heat it when you order because the melty cheese and creamy tomato spinach filling are to die for!
The other one is the
Birthday Cake (P130 per slice / P1,150 whole). It's the traditional US-style birthday cake made of moist vanilla chiffon and cream cheese frosting. Candy sprinkles add a nice colorful touch. I tried this last November and I'm hooked!
There are some new food items too, such as this
Creamy Tomato Chicken Pasta (P165). Tender chicken slices, creamy tomato sauce with mushrooms, and al dente penne pasta make up this filling savory dish.
If sandwiches are more your thing, try the
Ham and Cheese on French Baguette (P165). Ham, Emmental cheese, arugula with pickled dijon are placed between slices of crusty and chewy French baguette.
Or you can go for the
Katsu Roll (P120) for something a bit more unique. There's chicken fillet coated with tonkatsu sauce inside the flaky pastry.
There are a couple of new sweet treats too. I'm excited to try the
Calamansi Cheesecake (P140 slice / P1,500 whole). I like the combination of sweet and tart so I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy this.
The
Salted Belgian Chocolate Cookie (P60) is also interesting. A super chewy cookie is loaded with Belgian milk chocolate chips and a dash of sea salt.
Starbucks also welcomes 2016 with two new Starbucks Cards: the
Lunar New Year Card and
Valentine's Day Card. Both are available at all Starbucks stores nationwide for an initial consumable load of P300.
