It's sooooo hard to lose weight. I say this having a history of being grossly obese. Back in 2011, I was so fat I couldn't really fit into decent clothes. I shunned shopping because well... nothing fit. I was always in loose mannish shirts, equally loose jeans (I went all the way up to a US size 12 for jeans), or loose sweatpants. People who'd see me would even ask if I was expecting. That was a really low point for me because I remember weighing 105 lbs during my wedding day. I was 165+ lbs at my heaviest -- I weighed even more than when I was 9 months pregnant with my eldest child (I was 158 lbs then). My self-esteem was practically non-existent during those times and I felt ugly and fat when I was with my peers.
I was so fat I avoided having photos taken as much as possible (photo above was taken in 2011). Everyone around me would say so too. Eventually the desire to get out of the rut I was in prevailed and I lost 20+ lbs over a period of several months. I reached a plateau and I'm currently at a point where I'm not losing any more weight. I need to lose maybe another 10+ lbs or so to reach my ideal body weight.
Up until now, the words "weight loss" are still magical to me. I'm always looking for ways to reach my ideal body weight. I don't eat nearly as much as I used to. I'm not the kind of companion you'd want for an eat-all-you-can buffet session because I can't eat anymore after one full plate. I usually go for dessert and coffee after one round. I try to squeeze in stationary biking whenever I can but my efforts aren't enough. I've reached a plateau where weight loss is concerned.
Sometime last week I was introduced to Kilo Off, a series of dietary supplements from France. These help promote weight loss. There are 3 product types:
- Kilo Off Powder Drink (P995 per box of 10 / P99.5 per day) - This is Kilo Off's hero product. You mix one sachet with water and take it once a day for a maximum of 20 days. It's a complete weight loss regimen: it burns fat, drains water and toxins, reduces cravings, and helps you keep a flat stomach.
- Kilo Off 24 (P850 per box of 30 capsules / P56 a day at minimal dosage) - This product helps you slim down day and night with maximum efficacy. You take 2 capsules a day (before breakfast and before dinner) for regular slimming or 4 capsules a day (2 before breakfast and 2 before dinner) for intense slimming. These help you burn fat, improve digestion, and detoxify.
- Kilo Off Drinks (P795 ber 400ml bottle / P99+ per day) - These come in 2 variants: Blackcurrant for slimming and Fruity for a flat stomach. You take a 50ml dose once a day.
What I like about Kilo Off is it's not shady like a lot of the weight loss supplements I see being advertised. When you go through the ingredients list, there isn't anything unreadable or hard to understand. Kilo Off products are made of plant extracts and the brand has been around for over 20 years, being established in 1994.

So what did I choose to take home and try? I went for the Kilo Off Drink in Fruity, because I've always preferred citrusy drinks and well, a flat stomach is the hardest thing to attain. I'm going to start drinking this tonight. I was told that after I finish the entire bottle (8 servings), I should give it a rest and take my next Kilo Off supplements after 10-15 days.
The other product I opted for was Kilo Off 24. I plan to take it after I'm done with the drink. I'll keep you posted on my progress. :)
