Today, I am coming to you with a really exciting Blog Post on a new Brow Treatment I went and viewed a few weeks back. This Brow treatment is going to take over how people want their brows to look and the results are fantastic so keep reading to find out what exactly I'm talking about.
Lisa Collins from Wax It Studio Greystones discovered this new treatment while visiting America this year. She became fully trained in the states and wanted to bring it back so ladies (and gents) in Ireland can have the brows they want!
This new Brow Treatment are Sleek Brow Extensions. They are new to the Irish market and can last you up to 3 weeks!! Anyone who has wanted full brows knows the difficulty in growing out what you have to get a fuller brow from years of over waxing or plucking but this new three step treatment can give you amazing brows that all you have to do is top up.

There are three steps to the Sleek Brow Extensions:
1 Threading
2. Sculpting
3. Building
I went along to Lisa’s Greystones studio to watch a brow transformation on her client Katherine I was really excited to see what this new treatment was all about because Lisa had offered it to me but I had literally had my HD Brows done for a wedding I had that week but I really wanted to see is this something I could use on my own brows.

As you can see here from the before picture, Katherine has nice brows but they are quite fair and had some gaps so Lisa got to work on the brow transformation. She began with Step One which is Threading.
Threading clears the brows from all unwanted hair and gets the brows ready and shaped for treatment. I have had Threading done as a single treatment as well as part of my HD treatment. I don’t find it very uncomfortable at all, it give the brow a lovely shape and makes them look very clean.
Lisa then moved on to the second stage which I was fascinated to watch. This step is called Sculpting.
Sculpting is the application of the 3d custom coloured gel that is applied in hair like brush strokes throw the brow with a thin tool. This gives the brows pigment and definition. This part of the treatment is unique to Sleek Brows only and is the reason the extensions can last up to 3 weeks.
Lisa took her time in this stage just as she had with the threading, I began to see the real need to have a trained Sleek Brow Extension Therapist carry out this treatment as each brush stroke is strategically placed on the client’s brow in exactly the position it is needed to create a fuller, beautiful brow.
She then moved onto the fascinating stage of Building.
Building is application of individual synthetic brow hairs. They are applied throughout the brows to fill any gaps, create higher arches, lengthen the tail of the brow or bring the brows back in closer if they've been over plucked etc. They create the desired finish dictated by the client, Natural or defined, Dark or light etc. The possibilities with these brows are endless. There is so much flexibility with the Sleek Brow Extensions that you can discuss with your therapist how you would like your brows to look and they can advise you on whether or not it will suit your face shape.

After seeing the whole process I was thrilled with Katherine's results as she was herself. Her brows still looked so natural, they were filled to perfection and had such a beautiful shape on them I just wanted Lisa to get to work on mine straight away. I thought that with having Dark hair they wouldn’t apply to me but I can really see how they could help my brows find that perfect shape that I have been unable to get lately with my own HD Brows. After seeing the treatment from start to finish on someone with fairer brows than me, I was totally sold and I was happy to have witnessed the full process for myself.

As I said at the start of this blog post I really feel Sleek Brow Extensions will take off in Ireland and Lisa unfortunately is only one woman so not everyone can be treated by her in Wax It Greystones. I do have some fabulous news for all you brow lovers/ therapists and salon owners out there…
