My Essential Makeup Brushes!

With so many makeup brushes out there – it is very easy to get insanely overwhelmed with what makeup brushes you do and don’t need. I want to keep this as simple as possible, so I will be sharing my essential/favorite makeup brushes with all of you!

Eye Shadow brushes

(Yes, you can just manage with 3 eyebrushes!)

1) MAC “234” Brush – Used to deposit eyeshadow color on your eyes. You will not blend with this brush. See dupe below.
2) MAC “217” Brush – Used to blend out the eyeshadows. This brush can also be used to deposit color into the crease area.
3) MAC “224” Brush – Used for final blending after #217 has been used. This helps to give your eyeshadow a very stunning, gradient look.

(Perfect MAC 234 brush dupe – can be purchased from any Art supplies stores!)

Face Brushes:

(Can you tell I am in love with Real Techniques)

1) Real Techniques “Contour” Brush: Perfect brush to blend out concealer under the eyes or any other part of the face.
2) Real Techniques “Buffing” Brush: Love this brush for my liquid (or powder!) foundations. It really buffs the products into the skin.

4) MAC “168” : Basic contour brush. I used this daily to apply bronzer to my cheeks. Makes it very easy with the angle.
5) MAC “116”: Perfect Blush brush – not too big, not too small. Just the perfect basic blush brush.
6) Real Techniques “Blush” Brush: My favorite brush to use to apply powder. It’s so soft and fluffy and deposits just the right amount of product!
