There's something about buffets that never fails to get me all excited. I love the thought of having so much food to choose from without having to worry about ordering too much. I can always go at my own pace and go back for more. No pressure!
Anyhow, Vikings Luxury Buffet has become our go-to place when we're entertaining guests from abroad. One thing that's great about Vikings is there's always something new to try when you go back. They're always adding new dishes and innovating. For the month of August, Vikings is featuring World Street Food!

Balut Deconstructed (Philippines) |
The first thing they served us was this Balut Deconstructed. I'm sorry but I took a bite into the beer batter, saw the feathery duck embryo, and couldn't go on. I don't eat Balut. I can't stand looking at the embryo. I did eat the Balut mousse on top though and found it yummy.

I did enjoy these tasty sticks of Beef and Chicken Satay.

Oyster Omelet (Singapore) and Chori Burger (Philippines) |
Super loved these two. The oyster is enrobed in a crunchy flour and egg mixture and they used fried
mantou to hold the
chorizo patty. Yum! I'd go back for seconds.
