Maybelline: Rebel Bouquet Lipstick Review!

I get a ton of requests to review/create looks using products available specifically in India and today you are in luck!

I recently received some gorgeous lipsticks from Maybelline India and knew right away I would love these babies. I mean look at the colors below for yourself – what’s not to love? These colors could not be more perfect for the hot weather!

These are the new Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks are extremely creamy with a buildable formula. Applied with a single layer on your lips will give you a pretty tint but two layers will show you the maximum colors of these lipsticks.

The texture of the lipstick is actually very unique because when you first apply on your lips, it feels very moisturizing but after just a few minutes the lipstick settles and it becomes more of a “velvety” texture. I have no complains of the texture at all – now let’s move on to the actual shades.

This is one of those lipstick shades which would work with many skin tones. It’s actually a very build-able pink which is bright but not too bright. If you are looking for a more muted pink, just apply once layer on your lips and blot away with tissue to leave your lips with a pretty “tint”.

Now this is a seriously bright lipstick! In the swatches above, I have layered this lipstick to show you its absolute max color and while it’s bright, its super gorgeous and flatters the brown skin beautifully. I do recommend to exfolaite your lips before applying this lipstick because for some reason, it really shows the texture of the lips more than REB02.

Overall, If you are looking for an affordable (Rs. 450 * $7.00) but reliable bright lipstick, I would definitely suggest these. I am going to have tutorial coming very soon using one of these, so stay tuned!
