Afforable Glasses – Warby Parker!

I know I can’t be the only person out there who is sick of overpriced prescription glasses! I mean – why is it OK for manufactures to charge over $500.00 for a small piece of metal/plastic? I know it only costs them a fraction of the cost to actually make the glasses!

Keeping that in mind – when my husband recently broke his frames, I knew the best place to go was: WARBY PARKER!

If you have never heard of WP, don’t worry too much because it is still a fairly new company who does not believe in overcharging their clients for prescription glasses/sunglasses.

They have a flat rate of $95.00 which includes the anti-glare lenses & frames (without an eye exam – if you need that, it will cost you an additional $75.00, still cheaper than the rest of the market!). The best part of WP? For every frame you purchase, they will donate a pair to someone in need! To date, they have donated over 1,000,000 pairs all over the world to people in need! Love that!

WP started out with at home try on’s – which basically means that they will send you 5 pairs to try on (frames of your choice) – you pick out your favorite and you are sent a brand new pair with your lenses ready to go!!

Because we live in NYC – we were lucky enough to get to their flagship store in the Meatpacking district – which is fabulous by the way! Minimal décor with art, books and of course frames all over the store! Very New York!

The customer service was outstanding, with all the sale reps really helping you pick the most flattering frame. We were so impressed that my husband actually bought a pair of prescription sunglasses as well (he has been sporting these babies the entire time during our honeymoon!).

I highly recommend WP to anyone looking for a very affordable pair of glasses/sunglasses with outstanding customer service and high quality product with a VERY low cost!
