Hubby and I had dinner at the newly opened Italian restaurant Linguini Fini at SM Megamall one weeknight. The weird thing is, this is actually a franchise from Hong Kong.
It was bound to be an interesting dinner because Linguini Fini is a farm-to-fork, nose-to-tail, sustainability-oriented restaurant. They believe in supporting local farmers and so they use locally grown and sourced ingredients whenever they can. They also believe in using all the meat parts so there is no wastage (hence the term nose-to-tail).
We had drinks to start us off. I had Homemade Iced Tea (P80, pictured above right) while hubby had Homemade Lemonade (P80, pictured above left). I love their iced tea. It's brewed and it's made with lemon and honey, so perfect. Hubby's lemonade was made of fresh lemons so it was more tart and citrusy compared to the usual powdered variety.
While we were scanning the menu, we were served some freshly baked focaccia bread slices with olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip on the side. Oh my, their bread is absolutely heavenly! Everything in this resto is made from scratch and you can taste it starting with this wonderful complimentary bread! Read more »
