So far I wasn't impressed by Oriflame mascaras and when I got this one I thought it's going to be another disappointment, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It reminds me a lot of Essence I <3 Extreme waterproof in terms of how it makes the lashes look, though this is still a regular formula, so it's not perfect in the curl holding department.
This has exactly the type of brushes I like - a regular one with densely packed bristles. It's similar to Essence's I <3 Extreme Volume mascara except much smaller, but it can catch every lash just like that one and it creates that's natural look of multiplied lashes. It fans them out nicely and just puts them in their place.
Formula is quite dry, which is again something I like a lot, since wet mascaras immediately drop my lashes. It's not a messy mascara at all and even with several coats it doesn't start to clump the lashes together. Volume-wise it could be a bit more impressive, but I will always pick this multiplying & separating effect over a lot of volume. Since it's drier than most regular mascaras, it doesn't drop my lashes, but it also it's holding a curl amazingly well. It can hold them up about half way, which is a good as regular mascaras can be based on my experience.
I experienced no smudging or crumbling with this mascara, but I don't experience either of this at most formulas, probably because my eyelids or skin are greasy, so I can't say if it performs the same on such skin.
I'm impressed and completely unexpectedly. It was like at first try because it creates exactly the type of effect I like - multiplied, fanned out and separated lashes that look almost naturally pretty. Formula is on the dry side which is an extra plus for me, but some might miss the volume wet mascaras have. It's also very decent when it comes to keeping the lashes up for a regular mascara. I've been using it daily since I got it, with a few breaks when I use I <3 Extreme wp by Essence.
Have a great day!
