Trying out Transitions Signature Lenses!

I got my first pair of eyeglasses when I was in maybe 20 years old. I was diagnosed with mild near-sightedness and astigmatism. No wonder there was a fuzzy halo around certain objects I would see, especially lights and light sources. My near-sightedness wasn't really a problem. Instead of 20/20 vision I was 50/50. Not bad. Two decades later, I'm still 50/50. It's the astigmatism that's the problem. My focus isn't so great because of those fuzzy halos. Do you know those lighted menu boards you'd see in fast food joints? It's super difficult for me to read them without my glasses because of my focusing problem.

Normally I bring two sets of eyewear in my bag: a pair of sunglasses and a pair of eyeglasses. I actually don't want to do this because they take up so much space and they add weight to the stuff I have to lug around on a daily basis.

But then I got wind of an innovation that might just change that -- Transitions® Signature™ Lenses. Yes, it's those lenses which darken depending on the level of sunlight they're exposed to. My mom and my father-in-law have been using Transitions for years. I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier on! Transitions lenses can be used by people of all ages, including children. In fact, it's more convenient because you don't need to keep changing glasses since they adapt to the lighting conditions. The possibilities are about as numerous as the number of frames available in the optical shop, and that's a lot!

Here are some of the features of Transitions Signature Lenses:

  • Block 100% of UVA and UVB rays

  • Suitable for any age, including children

  • Fully clear indoors and outdoors

  • Fits any prescription and frame

  • Fast fade back speed

Transitions® Signature™ Lenses are available in Brown and Gray, I chose Gray. :) Read more »
